Guardcam PIR Halogen / Camera

The Guardcam incorporates a motion sensor, a low-energy halogen floodlight and a 2 megapixel camera that can be configured either to record a snapshot or a short video clip each time activity is detected in front of the unit.
If the light-level is low (i.e. after dusk), the light will also come on to ensure that the camera has a perfect view of who is around. The snapshots and video are stored on an SD memory card (provided), which can be easily removed for viewing on your computer when required.

It also has an optional voice-warning feature that is activated by the PIR, and acts as a powerful deterrent to intruders.
The unit can also be hooked up to a PC and used as an external webcam, provided it is close enough to the computer to allow a cable to be run.

GuardCam is supplied with a low energy Grade C halogen lamp offering an equivalent to older Grade D lamps with lower running costs.
Detecting the presence of intruders with proven PIR (passive infra red) technology at a distance of up to 12 metres from the unit.
A photocell is employed to ensure activation is restricted to day or night operation at the users discretion.
