The theft of lead from church roofs is now one of the most rapidly spiraling crimes to afflict the UK. The soaring price of raw materials has made copper and lead theft a very lucrative business, and the cost of replacing the stolen lead and repairing the damage done to the church roof can easily run into tens of thousands of pounds.
Our Wireless Church Roof Alarm has been conceived to combat this recent scourge, and uses components from our tried and tested FarmGuard range, which has been faithfully protecting remote properties since we launched it fourteen years ago.
It is based around a combination of wireless infra-red sensors, which are typically deployed at gutter-level, and a receiver / dialler unit inside the church or in a nearby ouse. Whenever a sensor is triggered by an intruder trying to gain access to the roof, the receiver responds by sounding a buzzer or siren (optional) and initiating a series of text messages and phone calls to local keyholders and parishioners.
The system takes very little expertise to install, and will be easily within the capabilities of a local electrician or the church handy man.
As the dialler is GSM based (i.e. based on the mobile phone network), no phone-line is required in the church. Every church is different, and a simple phone call will be enough for us to tailor the system exactly to fit your requirements. The price shown here is for a system comprising two wireless 30m sensors (one for each side of a rectangular church), a receiver and the GSM dialler.
