A miniature digital video recorder (DVR) with sophisticated motion detection built in. Whereas traditional DVRs record their footage on a built-in hard disk, this versatile little unit stored video clips and photos on an SD card. There are two main advantages:
- In applications where no mains power is available, this can be powered by a battery. It consumes much less current than a normal DVR, and if connected to a leisure battery or similar, will operate quite happily for weeks between charges.
- The SD card can be removed and taken home so you can watch the footage in comfort on your PC and save any important images for use as evidence.
The motion detection feature means that images and video clips of any intruders will be captured automatically.
